A Strategic Advisory That Helps Cultural Institutions Break Into Games

About Me

About Me

Jamin Warren founded Gameplayarts, an advisory that helps museums and cultural organizations engage with the world of gaming. He provides them with the research, strategy, and execution they need to reach gamers for the first–or millionth–time. Gameplayarts’ past and present clients organizations like MoMA, the Getty Research Institute, Tribeca Enterprises, and PBS.

He also served as an advisor for the Museum of Modern Art’s design department, acted as cluster chair for the Gaming category for the Webbys, and hosted Game/Show for PBS Digital Studios. Prior to founding Gameplayarts, Jamin covered arts and entertainment for the Wall Street Journal and started a 25-person consultancy Twofivesix to work with big companies like Intel, YouTube, and SoundCloud.

He’s produced events such as the Versions conference for VR arts and creativity, in partnership with NEW INC. He also programmed the first Tribeca Games Festival, the groundbreaking Arcade at the Museum of Modern Art and the Kill Screen Festival which Mashable called “the TED of videogames.”

From 2022-2024, we operated Los Angeles's first dedicated space for game-based arts, hosting over 2,500 people in exhibitions in workshops. In December 2024, we closed our physical space to expand nationally—launching our advisory.
