My advisory comes from twenty years in games as a consultant, marketer, and journalist.

From writing for the Wall Street Journal to advising MoMA’s permanent collection to launching one of the first game-based arts spaces in the world.

What I Do

  • Game-based Arts Assessment

My structured assessment is designed to integrate game-based creative practices into cultural organizations: with two key features: Scorecard and the Diagnostic Guide.

The Scorecard evaluates the organization's external positioning and potential opportunities using only publicly available information, assessing its engagement via the Create (commissions), Connect (digital presence), and Convene (programming) framework.

In contrast, the more in-depth Diagnostic examines the organization's internal readiness to execute this work, utilizing stakeholder interviews and document review to score 12 criteria across three Tiers (Foundational Alignment, Operational Readiness, and Market Positioning).

The service provides phased, strategic recommendations that address prerequisite organizational development work, ensuring that any move toward game-based arts integration is meaningful and sustainable.

  • Ongoing Advisory

I help you build sustainable gaming programs with continuous support for exhibitions, education initiatives, and community engagement. Perfect for institutions establishing long-term commitments to interactive media and digital culture.

    Here’s what we work on:

    Exhibition and commission project management

    Educational program development and implementation

Public program series (workshops, talks, residencies)

    Academic partnership and research facilitation

    Cross-sector relationship management
